Have an airport question? Need help at O’Hare airport?

Travelers Aid Chicago’s staff and volunteers are here to assist you in advance and on your day of travel. How do you get from Terminal 1 to Terminal 5? How do you find a regional bus? Are you flying for the first time with a child with disabilities? Give us a call or send an email. We are here to help you find answers to your questions about O’Hare.

What do we do?

Essential travel guidance and consultation-Staff provide written directions, social stories with pictures and more to help at-risk travelers including people with disabilities, illness or trauma, and others. In some cases, 1-1 assistance on the day of travel may be provided (this must be arranged in advance and is limited due to staff availability). Staff may be able to provide a short respite for caregivers traveling with people with disabilities who are unable to travel alone.

Information Desks- Our volunteers are stationed at 7 information desks, and other volunteers walk throughout the airport providing information to travelers.

Crisis Intervention- The Travelers Aid Supervisory Team support passengers in crisis to create a safe, viable plan. These may include passengers experiencing interruptions in travel plans; those experiencing mental health emergencies, or other challenges.

Emergency Provisions and Office Services- In the Terminal 2 office, baby supplies, clothing, personal hygiene items and more are available in limited quantities. Limited office supplies and printing of travel documents are also available.
